The Nigeria population is increasing very fast, this is caused by high fertility rate. According United Nations, the current population of Nigeria as of May 6, 2019 is 200,127,092.

Nigeria population is ranked as 7 in the world and Nigeria is the most populous in African, the population density is 221 per Km2 (571 people per mi2).
Nigeria is a country on the west African coast, it has 36 states and a capital Abuja. Nigeria has 250 ethnic groups and has over 500 indigenous languages. The popular ethnic groups are Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani, Ibibio, Tiv, Ijaw and Kanuri. The total land area is 910,770 Km2 (351,650 sq. miles). It is estimated that by the year 2050, Nigeria population will be above 400 million.
