Ali Baba is a Nigerian popular comedian. He is an entertainer, motivational speaker, radio and TV show host, Writer etc.
Ali Baba’s real name is Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, he was born on the 24th of June 1965 to a royal family of Agbarha-Otor of Warri, Delta State Nigeria. That is to say Ali Baba is a prince.
He started his primary education at Ojo Primary school and later attended Command Secondary School all in Lagos. Ali Baba studied Philosophy and Religious studies at Ibru college in Agbarha-Otor and the Bendel State University (now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma).
After his graduation from college, he started developing his talent on comedy, he began performing at events, appearing on television shows with the likes of Charly boy, Patrick Doyle, Danladi Bako etc. He also performed on radio shows. At a point in his life, he worked with DP Lekki Limited as an executive assistant with Dapo Adelegan.
With the zeal in him to pursue his passion and career, he started the stand-up comedy. He served as master of ceremonies for events, makes comedy for corporate and none corporate events and became an instructor for up-coming comedians.
Ali Baba formed and registered his company ‘Alibaba Hicuppuray’ in 1993 thereby making his work professional and a way of life. It was said that in 1998, he hired billboards on strategic Lagos streets with the message that became known as “Being Funny is a Serious Business.”

Ali Baba is married to Mary Akpobome, and are blessed with 5 children, Xsara, Brenda, Ejiro and Tejiri (twin) and Valerie.
