Patek Philippe time piece is now the most expensive wrist watch sold for a whopping sum of $31 million at a charity auction in Geneva. This watch was supposed to go for nothing less than $3 million but because of the research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy held by christie; it went ten times the amount.
The steel Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Ref. 6300A-010 beat the Rolex Daytona which one once the most expensive watch sold at $17.7 million 2017. The Rolex Daytona was once owned by Paul Newman.
This Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime reference 6300A-010 is one and only watch that will be made in stainless steel. It has 20 complications, including a grande and petite sonnerie, a minute repeater, instantaneous perpetual calendar with a four-digit year display, second time zone, and 24-hour and minute subdial. The watch’s most unique feature is front and back dials — one salmon colored, the other black — that can be flipped or reversed.
The watchmakers include: Patek, Audemars Piguet and F.P. Journe.
